a week do pass by quickly.. a good start to school.. so far ive gotten pretty good tutors.. i like 2 of them very much.. very interesting in their views and opinions and definitely their way of teaching.. but what one of my tutor saed really stuck to me..
well she used to be a teacher and then principle in a middle school in Canada, where she's from.. she mentioned how in Singapore, because the level of education is greatly emphasised, usually teachers in secondary schools or above are greatly respected or envied.. however, she told us that was not the culture in Canada or North America.. she told us that she onced she did an experiment.. she gathered middle(secondary) and high (jc) school teachers and tried to teach them to be primary school teachers.. but most couldnot make it.. she told us that in those countries, primary school teachers are regarded with higher respect because these are the ones who build the foundation.. they build the cademic foundation and they craft the students in their personalities and ways of thinking.. it is never easy dealing with kids because students at secondary level usually have the logic already and are easier to handle.. she also said that at primary 1, kids learn all the foundation they need that this is the epriod of time which u learn so much that even a yr of university is non-comparable.. it is the hardest period for a kid because of the many adjustments he/she needs to make.. aniwae, i guess wen she said this, most of us kinda felt proud and respected as a teacher.. even if we're not regarded so much bcos of our certificates, but we know our importance.. not tat secondary school teachers are not impt.. they are.. but again.. foundation..
ok so in one whole week, i met lovely people.. =D busy busy huh? haha.. met am, but we talked so much no pics were taken! haha.. ure reli an inspiration to me.. n i oso met huda.. n had a blast eating japanese food.. haha.. n of cos my dear.. =) n lastly, went for azian's lil bro small bdae party! wen was the alst time i went for a kid's party seh? haha.. her sis was damn hilarious ar n we had a blast playing games n looking silly! so now let the pics do the talking ya? oh ya.. my pics with the bdae boy n all r not given to me yet.. but just enjoy! toodles!
